10 Very simple Tips for Preventing Acne

Here are 10 simple but effective tips to prevent acne and pimple.

 


1. Always keep your face clean

Whether you have acne or not, wash your face two times a day to get rid of dead skin cells, wash away impurities and extra oil making an extra-shiny surface. Tepid or warm water and facial cleanser are best for cleaning. Harsh bath soaps will cause skin irritation so use a facial cleanser that is soft and gentle to the skin.

No need to use as scrub just a washcloth. Exfoliation using loofah will remove all impurities and blemishes. Gently wash and rinse face well and finally dry it using clean towel. A wash cloth is used only once and it goes to the laundry.

 

2. Moisturize against dryness

There is lots of acne products contain ingredients that leads to dryness. Use moisturizer to minimize dryness and skin peeling. Look always on the label for “noncomedogenic” as this product will not cause acne. Moisturizers are for dry, oily or combination skin.

3. Look for over-the-counter acne product.

These products do not need prescriptions and most contained acids that drive away acne from your skin; such as duh as *benzoyl peroxide, *glycolic acid, *lactic acid, and *salicylic acid. Sometimes they make skin dry or peel so start with a small amount. Make adjustment after observing the amount that is useful. The new OTC option is topical retinoid gel. It prevents the formation of acne. For sensitive skin, use these products with caution.


4. Use makeup sparingly.

During an acne breakout, avoid wearing a blush, foundation or powder. Wear minimal makeup and wash it off at the end of the day. If possible, use only oil-free cosmetics with no dyes and chemicals. Choose makeup that is stamped with “noncomedogenic,” in the label which means that do not cause acne. Always read listen ingredients before buying.

5. Be careful of hair products.

Avoid hair products with so much using gels, fragrances, oils or pomades. When they touch your face, they block the pores and irritate your skin. A gentle shampoo and conditioner will suffice. Oily hair can add more oil in your face; so wash your hair often is the best way when acne are breaking. If you have longhair, keep it tied and pulled away from your face.

6. Keep hands away from face.

Do not touch your face, or cheek or chin with your hands. Your hands are the dirtiest part of the body for it has bacteria and irritate the inflamed facial skin. Never pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring.

7. Keep away from the sun.

The ultraviolet sun rays are harmful as it causes inflammation and redness of the skin. Some acne medications may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Limit your exposure to the sun; especially the hours between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Long-sleeved clothing, long pants, and a broad-brimmed hat are your protection.

Under any skin condition, apply a broad-sunscreen with SPF 30 or even higher 20 minutes before sun exposure. Look in the label for “noncomedogenic” to help avoid new pimples less likely.

8. Nourish your skin.

There are types of food as chocolate that do not cause pimples. But it is still better to be wary of oil, greasy and junk food. Eat more fresh fruits, veggies and have a diet of whole grains. Avoid foods that have processed sugar and dairy products as they are acne-friendly.

 

9. Be physically active every day.

Your entire body is benefited from regular exercise and that includes the skin. Do not wear clothing that clings to the skin and causes irritation or exercise equipment that touches your skin that leads an irritation. A shower or bathe following an exercise is good practice.

 

10. Take it easy.


Studies show that pimple and acne are linked to stress. If you have been feeling stressed lately – this might be the cause of your acne. Find a solution!!
