What is the secret to beautiful and glowing skin? Ask any expert and the answer would be a skincare routine. Yes, by forming a skin routine and following it religiously you can get a flawless skin that looks beautiful always.

However, to create a routine you need to understand your skin and choose products accordingly. Here is a skin care routine for any skin type that you can adopt.

 

Daily skin routine

Morning

Kick start your day by cleaning your face with a cleanser and applying a toner. Follow this with a moisturizing session to provide hydration to the skin.

If you have dry skin, choose a heavy moisturizer but if your skin is oily, you need a water-based moisturizer.

According to your skin type, you may need to reapply the moisturizer several times during the day or wash your face with water to prevent excessive oil secretion.
Of course, you need to apply a sunscreen to prevent premature aging and make your skin look clear.

Night

Remove all traces of makeup from your face. Use a good quality cleanser to remove facial and eye makeup. If your skin is dry, apply a heavy moisturizer. Using an anti-oxidant serum is a good idea to revitalize the skin. This would make your skin look younger and healthier.

If you have dark circles, use under-eye creams to fight them off.
Following this skin care routine every day is enough to take care of your skin. To rejuvenate the skin and to nourish it, you need a weekly routine too.

 

Weekly skin routine

Exfoliate – once a week, exfoliate your skin.

You can create your own scrubber by mixing sugar granules with coconut or olive oil.
Coarsely ground dried orange peels mixed with yogurt is another good option.

Massage your face with the paste to remove dead cells and allow the pores to breathe. Follow it with an oil massage to provide nourishment to the skin.

Apply a home mask – Make a home mask and apply it on your body. This would soothe the skin and keep it soft and supple.

Mash a banana and mix it with honey to get a fruit mask.

You can also use crushed cherries. For dry skin, choose a milk-based mask and oily skin would do well with a water-based one.

Monthly skin care routine

Once a month visit the salon to give your skin a professional care.

You can use facial masks or go for an elaborate facial along with pedicure and manicure. Pamper your skin to look and feel good.
